Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to, and seeing clearly whatever is happening in our lives. It will not eliminate life's pressures, but it can help us respond to them in a calmer manner that benefits our heart, head, and body. It helps us recognise and step away from habitual, often unconscious emotional and physiological reactions to everyday events. Practicing mindfulness allows us to be fully present in our life and work, and improve our quality of life.

Meditation has been used by cultures around the world for thousands of years. The methods and purposes of contemplation vary from Hindu yoga practices, to Buddhist means of spiritual development, to creative visualisation techniques and many more. Meditation helps you to relax and there are many different methods and ways of doing it. Again, it is something people are interested in, but can be a bit nervous of trying.

If you have always wanted to find out more about these in a safe, fun and informal environment with like minded people, then this introductory workshop is for you.

We will look at:

  • What is Mindfulness
  • What is Meditation
  • The benefits of Mindfulness/Meditation

There will be plenty of time to practice and to ask all those questions you have always wanted to ask in s safe and supportive environment.
